Good news came this week saying that Enniskillen Airport on the banks of Lough Erne is open again to visiting traffic. PPR is required before venturing over, but this is a normal courtesy before heading anywhere anyway.
Unfortunately the cafe isn’t yet open, so bring your own sandwiches and HobNobs to munch on when you arrive, or head to the nearby Manor Country Hotel which I hear is open and does decent grub!

OPEN….. We are now open to all aircraft from today. PPR by telephone is mandatory for all flights. Operating hours are Tuesday to Sunday 0900hrs to 1700hrs local. Monday closed. Operating RFFS CAT 1 with CAT 2/3 available on request.
Free tea and coffee now available to all pilots and air crew in our Catalina Pilots Lounge (former cafe located in terminal building). Microwave and fridge available to suit your own catering needs.
While you’re here, a bit of history. Enniskillen Airport, originally known as St Angelo was one of the many airports built during WW2 by the RAF (in 1941) to support the war effort.
